Microsoft Project
Course Length: 7 hours (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
Prerequisites: Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Project
Course Overview
The Microsoft Project 2-Day course focuses on tracking project progress, adjusting the project plan as necessary, and reporting project status. The student will learn how to compile and output useful project information (via reports, email, and online). In addition, the course covers useful tools (resource pool, consolidation, and linking) for managing interdependencies between multiple projects. The course topics are:
Setting the Baseline Plan
Tracking progress against the plan
Viewing and reporting Progress
Share resources across multiple projects
Consolidate multiple projects
Link tasks across projects
Sort, group and format project info
Customize tables, views and reports
Import and export project information
Publish project information online
Using Outlook to communicate project information, assignments, and status
Closing a project
